Giftedness, nature and energy; a conversation with Eric Windhorst

My giftedness, my spirituality and the way I was experiencing energy within nature. Somehow I felt like this was all connected.

In this podcast I am exploring these things with registered psychotherapist, counsellor, coach and mentor Eric Windhorst. Eric specializes in serving the (neuro)divergent -- outside-of-the-box folks, who identify as complex, creative, gifted, intense, and highly sensitive. While he helps his clients with a variety of challenges, Eric is particularly passionate about working with individuals navigating through periods of significant personal growth, life transition, existential searching, and shifts in identity. Eric works holistically and eclectically, helping his clients connect with their inner nature (their true, deep, authentic selves) and outer nature (the wider, more-than-human world) to promote healing and growth.

In this podcast we talk about the way a specific group of gifted people experience their ‘being human’. We talk about energy, intuitive thinking and travelling to other realms within our own reality. Often, gifted people suppress this side of themselves or are treated by ‘common psychotherapy’ as mentally ill. We are here to share that there is nothing wrong with you and your life will be richer and more complete if you embrace this part of yourself. You will feel more connected to yourself and the world around you.

We also talk about the way Eric uses these insights to help people within his counseling practice and how he guides people to discover this part of themselves and even heal them of trauma.

In deze podcastserie ga ik in gesprek met diverse (ervarings) deskundigen over onderwerpen gerelateerd aan het boek "Een intense reis". In het boek en de podcast boek beschrijf ik waar wij als gezin tegenaan liepen op onze zoektocht naar passend onderwijs, zelfacceptatie, hulp en het herstel van een schooltrauma voor onze hoogbegaafde zoon. Door het delen van ons verhaal in combinatie met kennis en tips, probeer ik de reis (samen met mijn gasten) makkelijker te maken voor andere ouders van (hoog)begaafde kinderen.
